Who we are

hope re:news was co-founded in 2019 in Canada by Jonathan & Tracey Heppner, humanitarians and community builders for almost 3 decades in Canada and Southeast Asia.

With a passion for creating communities of hope, their lives exude love for their surroundings and the people they meet everyday.

Sustainable, regenerative farming practises coupled with extensive community networking and collaborating are the main focus of everything they do.

Their partnerships around the island with other like-minded farmers, entrepreneurs and locals fuels change that inspires possibility.

You will find Jonathan most likely somewhere in the garden putting to practise his tireless hours of research and education while Tracey could be found in the busy agora of the city or in a village engaging friends and local entrepreneurs.

Together they spearhead the projects of hope re:news and welcome others to the journey with them, both locally and internationally.

hope re:news is supported by their board of directors in Canada: Scott Eastveld, Erinn Lowe, Blayne Wyton and Sarah McCorquodale.
